Winemaking is part science, part nature, part art.  Much of a wine's flavor profile and structure is determined by terroir, but the winemaker also has a lot of decisions to make post-harvest.  Come explore one of the major variables the winemaker manipulates - the use of oak during and after fermentation.  Just as the varietal and growing conditions in the vineyard affect the taste of wine, the same is true of different types of oak barrels and oak alternatives.
